Is Memberply a suitable Inveterate alternative?

Memberply is an option when you want membership tiers, credit rewards and configured member benefits with a flat monthly app charge. Compare the rules and customer journey you need, rather than choosing from a list of feature names alone.

Inveterate, currently listed as Inveterate by Onward, also serves Shopify membership and loyalty programs. Its website describes free loyalty, paid memberships, spend-based tiers and hidden VIP programs. Both apps can be relevant to a store that wants to reward repeat customers.

Compare the whole program cost

Start with the same expected member count, order volume and reward design for each provider. Include the app subscription, any applicable revenue share or usage charges, implementation work, ongoing services and benefit costs. Ask for a written quote when the published terms do not resolve your setup.

Memberply’s published monthly app charge is lower than the listed Inveterate Starter and Growth charges. That is not a like-for-like valuation of platform scope, strategy services or implementation support. A lower software bill does not automatically mean a better program outcome.

Test one program across both apps

Consider a fictional store offering a paid tier with cashback and a higher benefit level unlocked through spending. Test five events: joining, placing an eligible order, redeeming credit, receiving a refund and reaching the end of the qualification period.

For each app, establish which purchases qualify, how credit-funded orders and refunds affect spending totals, whether members keep or lose an earned level, and where they see their current benefits. These details determine whether two apparently similar programs actually work the same way.

Switching from Inveterate to Memberply

Start by contacting Memberply with your current tiers, billing setup, reward balances and integration requirements. Confirm the supported migration route before changing the live member experience.

1. Inventory membership rules. Record prices, billing intervals, renewal dates, spend qualification periods, earned levels and access rules.
2. Map member data. Memberply supports CSV imports of up to 500 records per file. Confirm the export and supported fields. An import does not automatically recreate balances, spend histories or every benefit setting.
3. Reconcile rewards separately. Agree how existing credit, points and earned benefits will be handled. Verify balances and avoid issuing the same reward twice.
4. Plan recurring payments. Importing member records does not transfer payment mandates or cancel previous billing. Confirm any checkout requirement, charge timing and handling of paid-through dates so members are not charged twice.
5. Test before the full move. Check new customer account sign-in, reward use, spend qualification, refunds, renewal, cancellation and the integrations you depend on. Communicate any member action before retiring the previous setup.
